Adolescence is a time of rapid change. New academic demands, evolving friendships, shifting routines, and increasing independence can feel overwhelming—especially for adolescents on the autism spectrum.
Our Strategy & Collaboration coaching program helps young people with autism develop practical, personalised strategies to navigate these challenges with confidence.
Rather than focusing only on problems, this coaching approach works with the adolescent, empowering them to become an active partner in problem-solving, planning, and decision-making. Together, we explore situations that feel difficult and build clear strategies that help them move forward.
Everyone has to face daily practical problems, some big, some small, but if they are not remedied, they soon add up and compound. We work adolescents with autism identify these problems, talk them through, and find ways to overcome or navigate them whilst keeping emotional balance.
Life Challenges often test us. They cannot be avoided, as they are out of our control. We support individuals through these challenges, providing emotional stability, a sounding board for their thinking and confidence in their decision making.
Transitionary periods can often be very stressful. We help individuals plan and prepare for these times, supporting them through the journey by offering stability, structure, and re-assurance.
Sometimes are rhythm gets out-of-sorts, this could be from a change in diet, sleep, movement, or perhaps something outside our control. We help individuals find re-organise and re-settle to help them gain their footing and rhythm again.
We help individuals envision a possible future that is aligned to the strenghts, interests, beliefs and values. This could be such things as playing a sport, or starting a career.
We help individuals strategise on how to deal with bullies, how to go about asking someone on a date, requesting a certain change in school environment to support their needs, or how to go about making and keeping friends.
